Demonstrators are blocking the Ayalon Highway in Tel Aviv, late July 5, following the resignation of the city's Police Commander Ami Eshed. Some demonstrators reportedly burned debris to block the highway. Reports also indicate one person attempted to drive their vehicle through the demonstrators, injuring at least three; police later apprehended the person.

Increased security and significant transport disruptions are likely over the coming hours throughout Tel Aviv. Clashes between protesters and security forces are possible, especially if police attempt to disperse demonstrators to reopen the highway. Other security incidents cannot be ruled out.
