Lebanon: Armed clashes in Ain al-Hilweh area of Sidon July 30

Heightened security measures, including road closures and personnel and vehicle checks, are likely in and around Sidon's Ain al-Hilweh area after reports of armed clashes on July 30. At least five people have been killed and at least 15 injured. The fighting broke out between rival armed Palestinian groups following the assassination of a Palestinian official.

Localized transport and business disruptions are likely. Additional violence is possible.
