Spain: Unionized rail workers to strike in six provinces, including Barcelona, July 19 and 21

Unionized rail workers employed by the National Network of Spanish Railways (Renfe) and the state-owned railway infrastructure manager ADIF in the provinces of Barcelona, ​​Cantabria, Malaga, Ourense, Seville, and Valladolid will strike on July 19 and 21. The strikes have been called to denounce outsourcing by the employers, work conditions, and the perceived decline in the standards of the rail service. The level of participation in the strikes is unclear, but the actions will likely cause some disruptions, particularly to Renfe-operated rail services.
