Cargo service workers affiliated with the Transport Workers' Union plan to strike at Brisbane Airport (BNE) from 14:00 Sept. 27 to 02:00 Sept. 28 and 05:00-14:00 Sept. 28. The purpose of the action is to demand higher pay and better working conditions.

The work stoppage will likely cause disruptions to some flights and several cargo services with various airlines, including Air Canada (AC), Cathay Pacific (CX), EVA Air (BR), Qatar (QR), and United Airlines (UA). Associated lingering disruptions are possible. Organizers may cancel the planned action at short notice if their negotiations with Menzies Aviation officials succeed.
