Paraguay: Unionized education workers strike, protest in Asuncion Sept. 25-27

Members of the Federation of Civil Servants Unions of the National University of Asuncion are holding a strike nationwide and protests in Paraguay Sept. 25-27. Demonstrators are gathering outside universities in Asuncion and San Lorenzo. Protesters are also likely to march near government buildings and outside national universities. The protest and strike action is to demand higher salaries for education workers.
