Event

Activists from multiple groups plan to demonstrate at London's New Scotland Yard and Liverpool's Liverpool Prison on Sept. 9 to protest alleged law enforcement and judicial system failures. Supporters of the Justice for Chris Kaba movement plan to protest at New Scotland Yard from 12:00 to demand that authorities make a decision with regard to charging the officers involved in the controversial Sept. 5, 2022 killing of Chris Kaba by armed police. Following this, activists affiliated with the Fighting for the Falsely Accused organization will also demonstrate at New Scotland Yard and at Liverpool Prison from 14:00 to draw attention to the plight of persons falsely accused of criminal acts. It is unclear how long the demonstrations may last or how many participants may attend; however, previous demonstrations related to the Chris Kaba case have drawn large crowds.

Heightened security and localized transport disruptions may linger for several hours following the demonstrations. Although unlikely, isolated skirmishes between protestors and law enforcement or counter-protestors may occur.
