UK: Police responding to security alert in Newtownards Sept. 27

Police are responding to a security alert on Sept. 27 following the discovery of a suspicious object in the Bangor Road area of Newtownards. Police have closed a number of roads and advised motorists to avoid the affected. Public transport services have been rerouted. Newtownards is located approximately 16 km (10 miles) east of Belfast.
