Hundreds of people gathered at Lakemba Station in southwest Sydney the evening of Oct. 8 in support of Palestine. Police deployed to the demonstration as a precautionary measure. Additionally, organizers have announced the following events:
Sydney: Sydney Town Hall at 17:30 Oct. 9
Canberra: Garema Place at 17:30 Oct. 13
Gatherings are possible in other cities and locations, especially outside government buildings as well as at public squares and parks. Dozens to several hundred people could participate in each demonstration.
