Participants are demanding the resignation of government officials investigating the opposition Movimiento Semilla party. Related protests have occurred since early Oct. 2 after the Public Ministry (Ministerio Publico, MP) seized general election vote tallies from the Supreme Electoral Tribunal (Tribunal Supremo Electoral, TSE) Sept. 29.
