Authorities have deployed over 4,300 security personnel to the Indonesia Arena and General Elections Commission (Komisi Pemilihan Umum, KPU) as of the morning of Oct. 25. Traffic diversions are also in place. Politicians Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka are currently holding a rally at the Indonesia Arena and will lead their supporters on a march from Suropati Park to KPU, where they will register as presidential and vice-presidential candidates. Dozens of supporters have reportedly gathered at Suropati Park since 07:30; up to several thousand people are expected to join the march.
A heightened security presence is likely to continue in the affected areas over the coming hours. Localized transport disruptions are probable. Scuffles are possible between protesters and police are possible, especially if the participants are overly disruptive.
