UK: London Underground staff canceled two 24-hour tube strikes, planned for Oct. 4 and 6 /update 1

London Underground (Tube) train crew, affiliated with the RMT union, have canceled two 24-hour strikes as of Oct. 3. The stoppages were planned for Oct. 4 and 6. Negotiations are continuing between the labor union and employers; future strikes remain possible.

Transport for London (TfL) had anticipated no services would run on either strike day, therefore significant disruptions to services are now averted.
