Afghanistan Freedom Front claims responsibility for explosions reported in Kabul's Kota-e Sangi area late Nov. 24.

Warning

The Afghanistan Freedom Front (AFF) has claimed responsibility for two explosions that reportedly occurred in Kabul's Kota-e Sangi area late Nov. 24. According to the AFF, the blasts targeted a Taliban security facility and resulted in at least seven casualties. The AFF claims cannot immediately be independently verified; however, preliminary reporting from local sources indicates that a pair of explosions of unknown origin did take place in the area. Authorities have as yet released no official statement concerning the incident.

Authorities will almost certainly maintain an increased security presence near the blast site. Associated localized transport disruptions are possible. Additional similar incidents, including explosions, cannot be ruled out.

Exercise extreme caution if operating in or near the Kota-e Sangi area. Allow additional travel time near the incident scene. Heed all official transport and security advisories.
