UK: Pro-Palestine activists to stage protest march in central London Nov. 11

Pro-Palestine activists to march from Hyde Park to the US Embassy, London, UK, from 12:45 Nov. 11. Heightened security, disruptions likely.

Informational

Pro-Palestinian and anti-war groups plan to demonstrate in central London, Nov. 11. Participants will assemble in Hyde Park at around 12:45 and then march to the US Embassy. The purpose of the action is to demand an immediate ceasefire in the Israel-Hamas war. In recent weeks, pro-Palestinian protests have attracted multiple tens of thousands of attendees in London. This demonstration has attracted intense scrutiny in the UK, as it will be held on Armistice Day; authorities state that the march route will avoid the Cenotaph in Whitehall and other commemorative locations.

Heightened security and significant transport disruptions are likely along the march route and throughout surrounding areas, including on the London Underground. Low-level confrontations between demonstrators and politically-opposed bystanders cannot be ruled out.

Avoid the affected area as a standard precaution. Allow additional time if traveling near the march route. Strictly heed all instructions from law enforcement officers. Immediately depart the area at the first sign that any security disturbance may occur.
