Iceland: Volcanic activity report in Reykjanes Peninsula as of late Dec. 18

Volcanic activity, including eruptions, has been reported in the Reykjanes Peninsula near Grindavik as of late Dec. 18. The eruption has rendered Grindavíkurvegur road impassable. Authorities have asked residents in Grindavik to evacuate.
