Japan: Jetstar Japan cancels flights in response to worker's strike through Jan. 7
Some Jetstar Japan airlines staff striking through Jan. 7. Flight cancellations reported. Reconfirm flights.
Jetstar Japan (GK) crew members associated with the Jetstar Crew Association (JCA) are on strike through Jan. 7. The strike began Dec. 22. The action has resulted in the cancellation of numerous domestic flights in recent days. Negotiations between the airline and JCA are ongoing.
Disruptions are likely to persist through Jan. 7; however, the action is not widespread, and only a small proportion of GK's total flights are impacted. Nonetheless, further cancellations will likely increase demand for available services.
