Kosovo: Unionized workers to protest in Pristina Dec. 22
Unionized energy workers to protest at Kosovo Energy Corporation in Pristina, Kosovo, from 11:00 Dec. 22. Heightened security likely.
Unionized energy workers employed by the Kosovo Energy Corporation (KEK) plan to protest at the KEK headquarters located at 36 Mother Teresa Boulevard in Pristina from 11:00 Dec. 22. The purpose of the demonstration is to demand wage increases. It is unknown how many participants may attend.
Heightened security and localized transport disruptions are likely near the protest site. Though unlikely, low-level confrontations between demonstrators and law enforcement officers cannot be ruled out.
Avoid the affected area as a standard precaution. Allow additional time if traveling near the KEK headquarters. Strictly heed all instructions from law enforcement officers. Immediately depart the area at the first sign that any security disturbance may occur.
