Authorities at the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center have issued a tsunami advisory for coastal areas of multiple countries in the Pacific rim early Dec. 3 following a 7.6-magnitude off Mindanao, Philippines, late Dec. 2. The following advisories are in effect:
Tsunami waves of 1-3 meters (3-10 feet) are possible in coastal areas of:

Tsunami waves of 0.3-1 meters (1-3 feet) are possible in coastal areas of:

Cook Islands
Fiji
French Polynesia
Hawaii, US
Indonesia
Japan
Kiribati
Northern Marianas

Authorities have stated the forecast could be expanded or rescinded as needed.
