Emergency crews are responding to a bomb explosion along Warsak Road in Peshawar, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province, the morning of Dec. 5. The blast, which reportedly occurred near Peshawar Public School, injured at least three people. Casualty numbers could increase over the coming hours. No group has claimed responsibility for the incident.

Authorities have cordoned off the impacted area and are likely to maintain a heightened security posture as a precaution. Associated localized transport and business disruptions are probable. Additional explosions are possible.
