Increased security is likely in the disputed Kashmir region between India and Pakistan after an armed attack in Chalis, Gilgit–Baltistan, left at least eight people dead and dozens of others injured on Dec. 2. Reports indicate that unknown assailants fired upon a passenger bus traveling to Rawalpindi. No group has yet claimed responsibility for the attack.
