Colombia: Taxi drivers protesting in Bucaramanga early Jan. 12

Taxi drivers launched a protest in Bucaramanga early Jan. 12 to demand an increase in the cost of taxi services. Activists are conducting the protest in their vehicles throughout the city, slow driving and at times stopping and blocking traffic, including along Carrera 17, in downtown Bucaramanga.

Significant transport disruptions are likely throughout Bucaramanga through the morning of Jan. 12. Business disruptions are likely.
