Authorities have lifted the lockdown and issued the all-clear at Kennesaw State University in Kennesaw, Georgia, in the Atlanta area, as of the evening of Jan. 24 after arresting a suspected armed intruder. The lockdown started at 18:20. There are currently no reports of injuries. The motivation behind the incident is currently unclear. Reports indicate that two suspects remain at large.

Lingering heightened security is likely in the area over the coming hours as police work to apprehend the remaining suspects and investigate the incident. Localized transit and business disruptions are also likely in the surrounding areas.
