US: Pro-Ukraine activists plan rally outside Congress in Washington D.C., Jan. 10

Pro-Ukrainian activists plan to protest outside of Congress at the intersection of Constitution Ave NW and Delaware Ave NE in Washington, D.C., from 09:30-18:00 on Jan. 10. The purpose of the action is to demand that the government approve aid to Ukraine in their conflict with Russia. A few thousand people are likely to participate in the event.

Officials will likely deploy security personnel to monitor the gathering. Some localized ground travel disruptions are likely as participants arrive and later depart the area. Violence is unlikely.
