Water disruptions to occur in Brunei Muara and Tutong districts, Brunei, Feb. 6, due to maintenance works. Commercial disruptions possible.
The Public Works Department (JKR) has announced water supply outages for Brunei Muara and Tutong districts due to maintenance works, from 19:00 Feb. 6. Officials are unable to provide a clear timeline for the resumption of services in the impacted areas.
Authorities are deploying water tankers to the affected areas during the outage. Some business disruptions are possible, especially for companies that rely heavily on municipal water to maintain operations.
Tutong District is roughly 30km (18.6 miles) southwest of Bandar Seri Begawan in the Brunei Muara District.
Stock up on drinking water. Confirm alternative water supplies for business operations. Pressure and water quality may be poor after service resumes; run taps for several minutes before using water. Minimize nonessential water use throughout the outage. Use only bottled water from reputable suppliers for drinking and hygienic purposes.
