Unplanned water disruptions ongoing in parts of Selangor State, Malaysia, as of Feb. 7. Commercial disruptions possible.

Informational

Water supply outages are affecting Petaling, Sepang, Hulu Langat, and Kuala Langat districts of Selangor State as of Feb. 7. Air Selangor attributed the unplanned disruptions that began on Feb. 6 to the temporary closure of a water treatment plant due to odor pollution. Officials are unable to provide a clear timeline for the resumption of services in the impacted areas.

Authorities are deploying water tankers to the affected areas during the outage. Some business disruptions are possible, especially for companies that rely heavily on municipal water to maintain operations.

Stock up on drinking water. Confirm alternative water supplies for business operations. Pressure and water quality may be poor after service resumes; run taps for several minutes before using water. Minimize nonessential water use throughout the outage. Use only bottled water from reputable suppliers for drinking and hygienic purposes.
