Pakistan: Train derailment occurred near Jahnaian Railway Station, Punjab Province, Feb 7

A freight train derailed near Jahnaian railway station in Jahnaian, Khanewal District, Punjab Province Feb. 7. Reports indicate that five carriages of a goods train traveling from Karachi to Lahore derailed; the accident did not result in any casualties. Emergency crews are continuing clearance operations at the scene and rail service disruptions are ongoing in the area. Authorities have not stated when regular services will resume.
