Authorities are continuing their response to an explosion and fire near the Old Bailey Central Criminal Court in London on Feb. 7. The explosion and fire have reportedly occurred at an electrical substation on Warwick Lane, which is located to the rear of the court. Resultant power outages have been reported in the court and surrounding buildings, which have been evacuated while firefighters continue their operations. There have been no reports of casualties.

Heightened security and localized business and transport disruptions are likely through at least the early afternoon of Feb. 7 as investigations and clearing operations continue. Police have closed off part of Warwick Lane.

Avoid the area until authorities give the all-clear. Seek alternative routes to circumvent the incident site. Allow additional time to reach destinations in the area. Heed official directives.
