Bolivia: Pro-government activists hold a rally at Plaza San Francisco, in La Paz, March 28

Supporters of the national government are holding a rally in Plaza San Francisco in La Paz, early March 28, to commemorate the anniversary of the ruling party Movement toward Socialism (Movimiento al Socialismo, MAS). Thousands are likely to participate in the demonstration.

Counter-protests and low-level clashes cannot be ruled out, as there are internal disputes among MAS members, between those who support President Luis Arce, and supporters of former President Evo Morales. Heightened security and transport disruptions in the area are likely.
