An investigation is ongoing after two planes collided in Nairobi National Park around 09:45 March 5, resulting in at least two fatalities. The crash involved a Cessna carrying two people, and a Dash 8 passenger plane operated by Safarilink Aviationt that was carrying 44 passengers and crew. Following the collision, the Cessna crashed while the Dash 8 was able to return to Wilson Airport (WIL) in Nairobi. According to authorities, both planes originated from WIL.

Officials will probably maintain a heightened security presence in the affected area over the coming hours. Authorities may limit access to the area to facilitate the emergency response.

Avoid the incident site until authorities give the all-clear and emergency services personnel vacate the scene. Adhere to all instructions issued by local officials.
