UK: Unionized rail workers to observe various strike actions April 5-8
Various rail operators in the UK to be affected by personnel walkouts on different days April 5-8. Rail service disruptions likely.
Rail workers affiliated with the Associated Society of Locomotive Engineers and Firemen (ASLEF) will observe various strike actions April 5-8. The strikes will impact different rail operators each day and last 24 hours. Details of the strike actions are as follows:
April 5: Avanti West Coast, CrossCountry, East Midlands Railway, London Northwestern Railway and West Midlands Railway.
April 6: Chiltern Railways, Great Western Railway, Heathrow Express, LNER, Northern and TransPennine Express.
April 8: c2c, Gatwick Express, Great Northern, Greater Anglia (including Stansted Express), South Western Railway (including Island Line), Southeastern, Southern, Thameslink and London Underground unionized personnel.
