The response follows a stabbing incident inside the church at approximately 19:00. An unidentified person attacked a religious figure. During the incident, at least five people were injured. The motive for the attack is unclear. Police have indicated that an unidentified male has been arrested and is assisting with the investigation. A large crowd has reportedly gathered outside of the church in response to the incident. Police vehicles have reportedly been attacked. The NSW Police have urged the public to avoid the site.
