Initial reports indicate that the suspected explosive device in the suspect's possession turned out not to contain explosives. Authorities closed the area around the consulate during their response operations, and the following metro service disruptions were reported related to the incident:

  • Line 6: Interrupted between La Motte-Picquet-Grenelle and CDG-Etoile stations.

  • Line 9: Interrupted between Franklin-D-Roosevelt and Pont de Sèvres stations.
