Police are responding to an incident where a man with a possible explosive device barricaded himself inside the Iranian Consulate on the afternoon of April 19. Authorities have closed the area around the consulate. It is unclear if any bystanders remain inside the consulate building. The following metro service disruptions were reported related to the incident:

  • Line 6: Interrupted between La Motte-Picquet-Grenelle and CDG-Etoile stations.

  • Line 9: Interrupted between Franklin-D-Roosevelt and Pont de Sèvres stations.

Heightened security and transport disruptions will continue in the area until the incident ends.

Avoid the incident area. Seek alternatives to underground lines 6 and 9 if planning to travel through areas affected by service suspensions. Strictly heed all instructions from law enforcement officers.
