Opposition activists plan to protest at Central Square in Kutaisi from 13:00 April 12. The purpose of the demonstration is to denounce proposed legislation that would label nongovernmental organizations (NGOs) as foreign agents. During the controversy surrounding attempts to pass the bill in 2023, opposition politicians and activists accused the Georgian Dream party of antidemocratic practices.
