The crash injured at least 55 people, most of whom responding authorities treated and released at the scene.

LA Metro authorities implemented single-tracking conditions on part of the E Line following the incident, including near the USC campus. While LA Metro staff had reportedly reopened the affected tracks and began to resume normal service as of around 16:00, they nonetheless advised that residual delays were likely.
