Authorities will likely maintain heightened security near the Israeli Embassy on Avenue de l'Observatoire in Brussels into at least early June following clashes that erupted near the facility during protests on May 28-29. Demonstrators gathered on both days to denounce recent Israeli military strikes on Rafah. The rallies ended in clashes between activists and law enforcement officers, with police deploying water cannons and tear gas to disperse the protesters. Further demonstrations and renewed clashes cannot be ruled out over the coming days.

Exercise increased caution if traveling near the Israeli embassy in Brussels. Strictly heed all instructions from authorities. Immediately depart the area at the first sign of any security disturbance.
