Bus workers affiliated with the Union of Road Transport Workers of the Metropolitan Region of Salvador (Trabalhadores em Transportes Rodoviarios da Regiao Metropolitana de Salvador, SINDMETRO) have ended their strike as of May 24. All bus services that had been suspended due to the labor action will resume early May 24. The strike started on May 17 and mostly affected services in six areas of the Metropolitan Area of Salvador: Candeias, Camacari, Madre de Deus, Sao Francisco, Santo Amaro, and Simoes Filho. The decision to end the strike comes after an agreement was reached regarding the workers' demands on May 23.

Lingering disruptions to bus services that had been suspended during the strike are possible May 24.

Due to possible lingering disruptions, reconfirm metro schedules in Candeias, Camacari, Madre de Deus, Sao Francisco, Santo Amaro, and Simoes Filho on May 24.
