Protesters will likely continue blocking Highway CA-11 in Gracias, Lempira Department, into at least late May. The purpose of the action is to condemn the lack of drinking water in the the township for the past five months. As of May 15, participants were threatening to continue disrupting traffic along the thoroughfare until water delivery is restored.

The protest will likely prompt localized transport disruptions. Police will probably deploy to the scene of the protest; clashes between demonstrators and officers are possible, especially if police attempt to forcibly disperse the gathering and reopen the highway.
