Emergency response operations are ongoing as of early May 26 after a tornado touched down north of Denton, Texas. Reports indicate multiple casualties; preliminary reports suggest at least 10 people are injured. The tornado has flipped vehicles on the I-35 north of Denton between Valley View and Sanger, causing significant traffic disruptions. Multiple structures in the area have been destroyed. Approximately 150 people are reportedly trapped under a collapsed gas station roof in the area. The tornado has also downed power lines.

Transport, business, and electricity disruptions will likely occur in the affected area over the coming hours. Further adverse weather is possible in the region. 

Denton is approximately 56 km (35 miles) northwest of Dallas.
