Activists to stage demonstrations in Aubervilliers and Bobigny districts of Paris, France, June 27-28. Increased security, disruptions.
Labor unions and political activists will stage demonstrations in Aubervilliers and Bobigny districts of Paris, June 28-29. Participants will denounce the planned closure of a local workers' center. Organizers plan two events:
June 27: Participants will gather at the Aubervilliers Mairie, from 18:00
June 28: Participants will gather at the Bobigny Judicial Tribunal, from 09:00.
It is likely that several hundred will take part in each event, based on previous protests in this ongoing campaign.
Authorities will likely deploy heightened security in the affected areas. Increased security measures and road closures will likely cause localized travel and business disruptions.
