Firefighters are responding to a structure fire at the Linwood Industrial Estate in Elderslie as of late June 23. The fire is producing heavy smoke and is located approximately 3.2 km (2.0 miles) from Glasgow Airport (GLA); however, no disruptions related to the fire were reported at the airport. The cause of the blaze remains unclear. There are no immediate reports of casualties.

Authorities will almost certainly maintain a heightened security presence in the affected area until firefighting operations are complete. Transport and business disruptions will probably affect the vicinity of the incident site over the coming hours.

Avoid the area until authorities give the all-clear. Seek alternative routes and allow additional time for travel near the affected area.
