Informational

The London branch of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party has called on supporters to demonstrate in front of the UK prime minister's residence in London on June 23. PTI is calling for the release of former Pakistani prime minister Imran Khan and other political prisoners from detention in Pakistan. Participants will gather outside 10 Downing Street at 15:00. Several hundred activists will likely attend.

Tight security measures will likely accompany the event, especially due to the sensitive location of the protest. Localized disruptions are likely; transport along Whitehall could be disrupted. Violence is not anticipated.

Avoid the demonstration as a routine security precaution and to mitigate associated disruptions. Check for transport disruptions before beginning journeys and allow extra time for travel in the affected area late June 23. Heed instructions from security services.
