Police confirmed one suspect was detained following a shooting outside the Mad Butcher grocery store in Fordyce, Arkansas, on June 21. The suspect reportedly opened fire, shooting at least nine people, two of which were killed, and was allegedly shot by an officer. Reports indicate that dozens of gunshots were heard in the area. However, it is unclear if only one individual fired a weapon.

Fordyce is located in Dallas County. Significant transport and business disruptions in Fordyce are likely through late June 21 as authorities continue to investigate the shooting.
