The Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB) announced water supply outages for parts of Hyderabad city, Telangana State, between 07:00 July 4-07:00 July 5 due to emergency power shutdowns at the 132KV Peddapur substation. Affected areas that will experience partial or low-pressure supply during the period include the Shaikpet, Borabanda, Moosapet, Nallagandla, Chandanagar, Huda Colony, Hafeezpet, Manikonda, Narsingh, Manchirevula, and Tellapur. Residents in Bhojagutta, Banjara, Erragadda Reservoir, Jubilee Hills, Somajiguda, KPHB, and Hydernagar. Delays in service resumption are possible.

Authorities will provide water tankers; residents also typically rely on private water suppliers during outages. Some business disruptions are possible, especially for companies that rely on large quantities of municipal water to maintain operations.

Conserve water. Stock up on drinking water in advance. Confirm alternative water supplies for business operations. Pressure and water quality may be poor after service resumes; run taps for several minutes before using water. Use only bottled water from reputable suppliers for drinking and hygienic purposes.
