Indonesia: Student activists to demonstrate outside State Palace in Jakarta from 14:00 July 22

Activists from the All Indonesia Student Executive Board (BEM SI) plan to protest outside the State Palace in Jakarta from 14:00 July 22. The action is to denounce the current administration and its perceived flaws, including the controversial Public Housing Savings (Tapera) policy and President Joko Widodo's alleged influence in the Regional Elections. While turnout remains unclear, hundreds of supporters could attend the demonstration.

Authorities will almost certainly maintain increased security measures around the protest site through July 22.
