Clashes are possible around land portions 2156, 2157, and 2159 in 9-Mile, Bush Wara, Port Moresby, due to a planned eviction exercise through at least July 15. The exercise is to dislodge illegal squatters residing on land owned by a private firm. As of July 2, authorities report that while 10 families have voluntarily relocated, 5,000 residents remain. Joint security forces will deploy from July 11 to enforce the directive.
