Canada: Activists to rally in Ottawa, Aug. 24

Sudanese activists and their supporters plan to rally in Ottawa on Aug. 24. The gathering will begin at Global Affairs Canada at 12:00. Participants will then march to Parliament Hill and, later in the day, the University of Ottawa. A few hundred people are likely to participate in the action.

Police will likely deploy to monitor the gathering. Some short-duration road travel delays are likely near gathering locations and along march routes. Violence is unlikely.
