Zambia reopens border crossing points with DRC's Haut-Katanga Province Aug. 13. Residual transport disruptions possible.
Zambian officials announced they would reopen border crossing points between the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) Haut-Katanga Province and Zambia's Northwestern and Copperbelt provinces Aug. 13 following negotiations with Kinshasa. Zambian officials closed crossing points to Kasumbalesa, Sakania, and Kipushi in DRC Aug. 10 after DRC officials reportedly banned some imports from Zambia.
