Disruptions will likely continue through late August following the collapse of the Yalu Bridge near Lae in Morobe Province. The bridge, which connects Lae to Nadzab Tomodachi International Airport (LAE), collapsed due to heavy rainfall and flooding Aug. 23. Local authorities have set up a temporary wet crossing for pedestrians and four-wheel-drive vehicles 07:00-19:00 while restoration works are underway.
