Flight disruptions possible at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport in Seattle, Wash., US Aug. 27 after disruptions occurred Aug. 26.

Informational

Further flight disruptions are possible at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA) in Seattle, Washington State, Aug. 27 after disruptions occurred Aug. 26. The Port of Seattle, including SEA, has been experiencing an internet and web outage since early Aug. 24. The outage at SEA is disrupting check-in and baggage services, which could impact flight operations.

Many airlines are manually providing boarding passes and baggage tags, causing longer wait times when checking in for flights. Frontier Airlines (F9), Spirit Airlines (NK), Sun Country Airlines (SY), JetBlue (B6), and international airlines are most affected by the outage. Additionally, SEA's display screens are not showing checkpoint wait times, which could cause boarding delays.

If traveling through SEA, confirm the status of your flight with impacted airlines before checking out of accommodations. Use airline mobile applications to download boarding passes and check in baggage prior to arriving at SEA. If possible, only take carry-on luggage. Anticipate delays and allow additional time for travel.
