Several activist groups plan to stage an anti-fascist rally at the Pavlos Fissas Monument in the west Athens suburb of Keratsini on Sept. 18. Demonstrators will begin assembling at the venue starting at 17:30; it remains unclear how many participants the event may draw. The rally coincides with the anniversary of Fissas' death in 2013; Fissas was a popular figure in the Athens music scene who was killed by a member of the now-dissolved far-right Golden Dawn party.
